After 11 years of visiting Big Sky, our family has finally made the move to become full-time residents. We have traded the white sands of Hawaii, for the white snow of Montana. It is quite a huge change in climate, but I for one am very excited to put in a full season of skiing and snowboarding.
I am hoping that the quest for “100 days of Big Sky” becomes one that connects me to the mountain and the community. My plan is to meet people on the lift, in the lodge, and in town, have some fun, and share their experiences skiing the best mountain in Montana.
I do truly love Lone Peak and the town of Big Sky itself, but it’s the people who make it special. There is “Aloha” in Hawaii, and likewise in Big Sky, there is an undeniable joy that the locals have, because they know they live in the greatest place on earth. Maybe I can capture that here.
